ILA Mission

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

We have not forgotten what makes the U.S.A. the Greatest Nation on Earth. It is the American Spirit. An American does not have a particular gene, ancestry, or blood type. Every American is either an immigrant or a descendant of an immigrant. Even the Native American was once an immigrant.

In fact, more than 100 million Americans alive today can trace their ancestry directly through Ellis Island alone, where the Statue of Liberty continues to steadily hold high her welcoming beacon of light.

The welcoming message on our Statue of Liberty is as relevant today as it was back in 1883 when penned by Emma Lazarus...

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses, yearning to breath free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest tossed, I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

- Emma Lazarus (1849 - 1887)

They came together in this giant melting pot in pursuit of God's inalienable gifts to humanity:

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Our Mission is to keep the Spirit of America alive and thriving by staying committed toward the unification of families and the just treatment and defense of the human dignity of immigrants.
