Citizenship Through Parents

The "quick and easy" way to become a United States Citizen is to be born within the United States (regardless of your mother's nationality), or, to be born of at least one United States Citizen, regardless of where that takes place. If this did not happen for you, give us a call and we will see if you can gain United States Citizenship through Naturalization.

The two types of "automatic citizenship" are as follows:

Right of Birthplace | Jus Soli

A person automatically becomes a United States Citizen by virtue of being born within the United States of America, regardless of the citizenship status of his or her mother and father.

If you give birth to a child within the United States and you are not a U.S. Citizen, call ILA today for assistance with preparing and filing the appropriate paperwork to ensure that your child obtains United States Citizenship.

Right of Blood | Jus Sanguinis

United States Citizenship is automatically conferred upon an individual who is born of at least one United States Citizen, regardless of where in the world he or she was born.

If you are a U.S. Citizen parent of a child born abroad, or you are said child, contact ILA today for assistance and guidance in ensuring the conferrence of United States Citizenship.

Not Qualified?

If you do not qualify for United States Citizenship through your parents, you may still be eligible for United States Citizenship through Naturalization.
